Some people spend hours dealing with small issues, that takes them hours when it would take us less time because he knows what he is doing. I.T. managers need to free up time doing lots of small jobs to do bigger jobs.
Daily back-ups, adding/deleting users, distributing new software. It's the kind of regular stuff most of us can do in our sleep. But annoyingly it's the kind of thing that takes up most of our working day. If only you had someone who could take it of your hands.
